Which Monat Products I use

Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

This is one of my favorite products, it eliminates my frizz and makes my hair soft and manageable. I use to get knots at the nape of my neck, but not anymore because my hair is soft from the oil. The price seems steep, but it last a long time. I use 5 drops a day. ($99)

Revitalize Conditioner

What I like about it – I can brush through my hair IN the shower. I’m not sure if this is from the shampoo or the conditioner or both, but all I know is my hair is way less tangled. ($47)

Revive Shampoo

I’m going to paste the benefits of this shampoo off of the website, because it lists all the reasons of why I’m a fan of this product – “A salt and sulfate-free gentle, hydrating cleanser that penetrates and moisturizes the scalp. Helps boost natural hair growth and improves follicle strength to aid in reducing hair thinning. Supports the restoration of the hair’s youthful vitality by adding essential moisture back into the hair. Safe to use on colored and/or chemically treated hair and extensions. Infused with REJUVENIQE™ Oil Intensive – our revolutionary oil treatment – this gentle, salt-and-sulfate free shampoo is gentle enough for even the weakest strands.” ($47)

About my hair type:
My hair is naturally curly, the curls are tight but by no means kinky. Sleeping in a top knot would stretch my curls out into waves. I have a mild case of frizz on good days and a bad case of frizz on a humid day. I currently have a mix of light brown + blonde hair. The actual hairs on my head are thin, but the amount of hair I have – I would say is above average.

My experience with Monat so far:
Well it’s been about a month and the reason I signed up is because I really loved what it did to my hair. I was never this confident wearing my hair naturally curly until using this product. Like I said on my instagram, I can only vouch for the products I use and I am aware there is no product out there that is going to work for every person, but I’m happy to help and share about my experience with the products I currently use.

Instagram etiquette

I have thought about writing a blog post based on Instagram etiquette for years now. After Alex and I decided to start our Instagram consulting sessions, I thought now would be a good time. While we were developing the curriculum, I explained how there could be an entire class based on etiquette alone. I guess I resisted writing about it because it could sound a little ridiculous, but whether we like it or not, technology is progressing faster and faster and social media is more common and a part of most of our every day lives. Rather than criticize the direction things are moving, I prefer to embrace it and make the most of it. With all that said, none of the big social media platforms really come with a set of rules or instructions other than the Terms of Service page that no one ever reads. These just explain why some of what should be the most innocent hashtags should never actually be clicked. I’m going to cover only a small portion of Instagram etiquette today, if you want me to add to the topics, just leave me a message in the comments and I’ll be happy to work on it!
